San Fernando Valley Coalition on Gangs ~ Office of Community Beautification

"CHILDREN'S DAY, A SALUTE TO KIDS"

The San Fernando Valley Coalition on Gangs, in partnership with PUBLIC WORKS, LAPD, RECS & PARKS, LAUSD, and other City and County Agencies and community stakeholders, celebrate children's lives, their cultures and values.

The event will take place at Woodley Park located at 6350 Woodley Ave. Van Nuys, CA 91436 in Council District 6.

The celebration at Woodley Park is scheduled from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm and will start with the CHILDREN'S DAY Parade. There's a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy, such as carnival rides, face painting, rock climbing, sports, resource fair, great food and entertainment, Radio DISNEY and more.

Services include beautification grants (CB Grant), hand tools for volunteer cleanup efforts, graffiti removal services (call 3-1-1 to report graffiti), and a school outreach program.
